RE: About exercises & Height increase
Wow, Rob, your story is great... Could you give more details? What stretches did you do? It is really motivating anyway, thanks.

I just followed the gowtaller4idiots program every day and stretched really hard until my muscles nearly cramped, but it only took about 30mins a day. I also ate a lot and got a lot of sleep, i ate a homemade protein shake which was just 4 eggs and orange juice in a blender, i had it about 3-4 times a week. Consistence was key i think, i also did about 5 minutes hanging and ran 2km a day, always at night because of school. I did 200 sit ups and 50 press ups a night too. I got really fit and i had loads of energy but with exams i had to stop but i did gain and i haven't lost anything since. I am already designing a new routine that i'll start very soon. I think the biggest problem is consistency and after you correct your posture, gains are very slow and it's mentally hard to keep it up. Also i think it's because i'm young it's working for me, but the main thing i think is to really believe it'll work, you can't go half hearted at it, you need to give 100%. Now i know that a lot of people think stretching doesn't work and there's arguments for both sides but it can't hurt and no one knows for sure what works and what doesn't, i'm open to most things that don't involve too much money. Human growth is a young and ever growing field of science and i'm sure soon there will be a "magic pill" that you can take to make you grow but for now all there is, is nutrition and exercise and it's all good for you either way so give it a real good shot. It's only when you're young that you can develop your heart muscle too so just go for it. If you really want to go for it, my new routine is going to contain a better nutrition plan. Amino acids you should consider are, L-Arginine Pyroglutamate plus L-Lysine, L-Glutamine, GABA and L-Dopa, http://www.nutrabio.com has all these bar L-Dopa at a good price. I'm going to try Inhibit E as an antiaromase as i heard there is little to no side effects, though if you want to stay all healthy don't use it. Drinking a lot of milk is a must, i drink 1 liter of super milk every day because of the added vitamin D. I'm gonna stay off chocolate and eat a lot of pasta dishes for dinner, and have a fibrous breakfast. Casein protein i think is a must too as i heard it is a slow releasing protein which is essential post workout. Glucosamine is a definite as it helps with regeneration of cartilage so it's a must in a stretching routine. There are a lot of other thing s you can do but that's what i'm concentrating on. Also i think the LYNX back stretcher looks like a good buy. All of these things are good for you and worst thing that can happen is you become fitter and stronger without growing so i'm going for it. Oh and i forgot to mention to try and incorporate as many anaerobic exercises into it too like sprints instead of running a few times a week. I'm positive i'm going to grow more, what really helps me is if you measure out how much you want to grow in the next year, say 3 inches and then have a look how little it really is. I think it really helps. Look in to the new shine bone routine when it comes out too as it looks like those guys are onto something and i'm following the progress of the adultheightincrease.blogspot too as it looks promising too. Meditation is another thing which i think will put in the routine as it helps with self belief and maybe growth. Willhu12 is probably the biggest member here and he really doesn't believe in stretching but backs meditation which has no medical or scientific backing at all so really i think it is down to personal opinion no matter what anyone says, who ever they are, but i think if you're determined, dedicated and believe there's no reason why all of us can't grow. |

RE: About exercises & Height increase
I started the stretches in January 3rd and regularly doing it both morning and evening. Gained 3/4 inches in the first month but nothing after that. But confident that it will help me to grow. I haven't had yet the spurt and now im 14 yrs only. I just hope when i hit the spurt, i get few inches at one shot. May be, the strectches will make that possible.
