about (raised seat) cycling: it does produce some hgh, but not that much, because it's not an anaerobic exercise. Body builders have bigger quadriceps muscles than professional cyclists. So i see no use in that routine, other than keeping the knee joint healthy with a bit of traction and compression, sending nutrients to the articular cartilage. It won't make the shin bones longer if your growth plates are closed, and even then it's more efficient to do some weightlifting. Scientifically speaking, this is not exactly a height boosting routine.
height 6'3
age 18
starting height at 16: 5'9.5
parents height: both 5'7

Growth plates in the spine should be open until your mid twenties, according to that doctor, espescially those in the lumbar and lower thoracic area. Which means that if you're into hgh releasing exercises such as weightlifting, swimming, sprinting, etc you should still be able to grow.

Thanks for answering my question, I've been going to the gym and lifting weights for a few months but havnt been doing any of the ones that put stress on your back or legs (like squats and that kinda stuff, thought it might stunt my growth).
Current hieght: 183-185 cm
Goal: 188 cm

oh and, forget about the ankle weight routine. those who invented it didn't realize that by applying traction on a joint (in this case the knee joint) you won't grow your shins, nor your knees, but the structures which surround the knee joint, ligaments and such, get elongated, so your joint becomes instable!!
but then vulcrum and andy both said they "FELT" their shin bones hurting during sitting with weights. And walking in the day, they felt sore shins. Andy only had mild knee pain, occasionally. So from that I believe the gain was in his shins.
stretched ligaments and such would not be able to hold the height gained. Bones lay on the articular cartilages so any height gain must have been from a regenerated thicker cartilage. Thats my view on that.

Did the doctor mention the age at which the spine fuses? 25?
So if I do intense body building workouts to get alot of HGH and also stretch alot, I should get permanent gains in my spine?
