a QUESTION ABOUT STUNTED GROWTH
I'm 18 and 5'10. my lil 16 yr old brother is 5'11.5 and my il 15 yr old sister is 5'6. My dad is 6'3. Typically most males are within 1-2 inches of their fathers and are sometimes actually taller. So anyways...when growth is stunted, does that mean growth was stopped and you will never continue to grow again? Or does it mean that growth was stunted at that period in time and will eventually resume itself later???

malnutrition definitely. I lost like 30-40 pounds the summer of my freshman year in highschool. I would just eat like a sandwhich for lunch and i would be at school til like 8 or 9 everyday w/o eating anything else. But i haven't grown for like 1-2 yrs so hopefully i have a small growth spurt or something
But if my growth plates have closed(idk if they have or not) would my body still resume that growth that i should have had?? and btw i know for sure should be about 6'1 or 6'2, maybe even taller!! lol

so if a kid that should be 6 feet tall is only 5 feet tall cause he was malnorished, will he always be only 5 feet tall even though its in his genetics to be 6 feet tall?

RE: a QUESTION ABOUT STUNTED GROWTH
Ok, first of all, genetics can do weird things....someone who had seven foot parents could possibly end up being 5'0.

As for growth being stunted, as I understand it the growth will resume at a normal, or even accelerated rate to catch up, IF your plates are not fused. If they fused during or shortly after whatever was causing the problem was still there, you'd be staying at your stunted height.

Age: 14 Years, 1 months
Starting Height: 5'7.75
Morning Height: 5'8.5
Evening Height: 5'8
Goal by June 2010: 5'9 .5
Goal by December 2010: 5'11
Final Goal: 6'1
BGV past 90 days: 1"
