no, the pain is on the front of my shins not under the knee caps

Do you know if your knees have to hurt in order to grow? Please comment.

I used to run cross country so I know that those are shin splints. It's when you put your shins under enough stress to cause a lot of microfractures, which makes it feel like the whole front of the bone hurts. If you don't run for a little while they'll go away, but they have nothing to do with growing. Also make sure you get enough calcium so the bone can regrow stronger.

RE: running daily

I also remembering reading that long distance running stunts your HGH.

I sometimes experience pain under my kneecap, what exactly does this mean?

Whatever you heard is wrong, all exercises promotes growth.

And you seemed to have the exact same thing as I have, which its a type of growing pain. But it looks like you are too old to get that seeing how this usually happens to people between 10-15, ask your doctor about it.

Not true,

Running is one of the best exercises along with cycling in which HGH can be produced at more than normal levels if done correctly, This tempted me so much I am going to run after I fully recover from my injury.

Continue running, it is a very good thing.

RE: running daily

OP, if you're a novice at high intensity training, just keep it at 10-15mins with a max of 20mins. If you feel the need to rest the next day, take a break.

True that all exercises promotes growth. Just like too much of anything is not good for you, too much exercise can lead to over training. At this point, your body will be focused primarily on healing any damaged tissues through cell regeneration by stimulation from growth hormones! Thats right, precious growth hormones that could have been used for growing ends up being used for repairing, which could have been prevented by not over training. And this repair could go on for weeks and in worst cases, months. Can you imagine not growing for that long because your body feels that healing is way more important?

To be honest i think my pain was simply because i was running on hard ground everyday for roughly 8 miles.
